Dakota Hinch-woods | Chief Executive Officer
Dakota is in her third year of a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Environmental Management at the University of Western Australia. In 2024, she interned at Ernst and Young as a Climate Change and Sustainability Services consultant. Her volunteer experience includes her role as an equity analyst with the University of Western Australia Student Managed Investment Fund and as a marketing officer with the Economics and Commerce Committee. Through WAUC, she has worked on projects with the WA Parks Foundation, Teach Learn Grow, and OzHarvest. Dakota is passionate about reducing gender and Indigenous inequality.
Daniel Kerfoot | Chief Operating Officer
Daniel is in his second year of a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Australia, majoring in Philosophy and Business Law. Daniel volunteers with Circle Green Community Legal and is a consumer partner at Bethesda Health Care. He currently works as a clerk and paralegal at Peloton Legal. During his time in WAUC, Daniel has worked with clients including inTouch and the Salvation Army. Daniel is passionate about social justice, particularly in relation to unfair dismissals and workplace sexual harassment.
CALEB ADAMS | Chief Financial Officer and Internal Compliance manager
Caleb is in his fourth year of a Bachelor of Science, with a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Western Australia. Caleb has completed engineering internships with BHP and Wood. He also has volunteer experience with Wheatbelt and Beyond Youth Mentoring, Youth Parliament as a Taskforce member, and the US consulate as a Youth Advisory Council member. His WAUC experience includes projects with Westcare and OzHarvest. Caleb is particularly passionate about sustainability, and equality in education.
ARJUN KANG| chief technology officer
Arjun is in his final year of a Master of Information Technology at the University of Western Australia. In 2023, he completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Law and Philosophy. He has completed a consulting internship at Ernst and Young, alongside internships with Edgepoint Infrastructure, and Social Reinvestment WA. He is also the Co-President of the University of Western Australia Consulting Society. Arjun’s WAUC experience includes a case with Wungening, and he is passionate about raising the age of criminal responsibility in WA, Aboriginal Reconciliation, and improving access to mental health services.
ANJA REHBOCK | client Relations manager
Anja is a third-year student completing a combined Bachelor and Master of Economics at the University of Western Australia. In 2024 she completed an econometrics unit at the London School of Economics, and she interned at Ernst and Young in the Infrastructure Advisory team. Anja is also the Co-President of the University of Western Australia Student Managed Investment Fund. Through WAUC, Anja has worked on cases with Media Diversity Australia (MDA) and Wungening. Anja is particularly passionate about health care education and services, and Indigenous empowerment.
ARABELLA zocher| VOLUNTEERS manager
Arabella is in her second year of a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Western Australia. In 2023, she completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Notre Dame. She has extensive volunteer experience with the Notre Dame Volunteer Network, and with nonprofits such as Ronald McDonald, St Patrick’s Community, and Red Cross. Arabella’s WAUC experience includes cases with Media Diversity Australia (MDA) and Wungening. Arabella is particularly passionate about supporting the local community.
sophie astell| Recruitment manager
Sophie is in her third year of a Bachelor of Philosophy at the University of Western Australia, with majors in Law and Society, and English and Literary Studies. She currently volunteers with Teach Learn Grow as a marketing officer and completed her McCusker internship at Child Australia within policy development. Her WAUC experience includes projects with Teach Learn Grow, and Wungening. She is passionate about educational equality in WA, and empowering survivors of family and domestic violence.
